FIRST AND FOREMOST:

MY PORTRAITS ARE FREE - PLEASE EXCUSE ME WHILE I RANT.

It's bad enough that you're charged $10 on the official Furcadia market for a portrait space, I'm not going to tack on $20 for a 95 x 95 pixel image. It's just not that much work for me.

Besides, when you make it a job, it isn't fun.

If you want to offer me something in return, awesome, but if not, cool. IF, and this is very rare, your portrait causes me a lot of difficulty, I may charge $5. This means SERIOUS difficulty, like if your character has a billion necklaces with mini-details engraved on them or six wings, stuff like that. Things that are actually, genuinely challenging in comparison with regular ports. And I will tell you if I think your portrait is going to be this level of difficulty for me, so that you can either tone it down or pay me some money.

PAYMENT METHODS (ON THE RARE OCCASION THAT YOUR PORT IS A BEAST): Paypal or Money Order.

This would be a very, very rare case as, like I stated above, charging for a port seems ridiculous to me. And I am slowly tearing apart Furcadia's economy with my freebies and that delights me. And if you're my friend, I don't care how many wings you have - it's free.

MOVING ON:

All of the portraits I do are completely remappable. It doesn't save me any more time coloring it specifically rather than coloring it with remappable colors. Remappable means that when you change your colors, your port will change to match them.

METHODS:

If you want a port, e-mail me at sinful_lullaby[at]yahoo.com. I will e-mail you back with an informational sheet to fill out and don't worry, I don't bite. Promise.

I will proceed to give you examples of the port in progress, starting with the rough draft, the pixelated version, the flat colors, and then the finished version with background and shading. This way, if anything catches your eye that you want to change, we can get it early on.

RULES:

While I will freely add blood, gore, or nudity into your port upon request, it is at your own risk. You should read Furcadia's rules on portraits yourself. While I don't necessarily agree with all of them, it isn't up to me, and you want to make sure you will be approved. It also somewhat depends on luck with portrait approval. It sucks but it's true. Some are more lenient than others.

DETAILS:

For the love of God, reference pics for markings, trousers, shirts with lots of detail if you can't describe them well. In fact, reference pics even for things that aren't heavily detailed. Can't have enough reference pics. Even if it's a crappy MS paint drawing. I will tell you if I don't understand, and you can always tell me to correct something when you see the in-progress pics, but wouldn't it be grand to cut out all that extra work by being clear in the first place?

EXTRA:

I also do full-body pictures for your furocity profile/website. So yeah, you can ask for those too and not have to pay for a portrait space. Free also. Duh.
